Berryrange is able to offer a full and comprehensive design package covering all stages from initial conception to completion.

We currently design to multiple standards and methods of analysis using either CADS Piled Wall Suite or WALLOP, both well known and used software programmes.  Drawings are produced using AUTOCAD so they are easily opened and printable by other parties.

Our in house design team will produce an economic solution tailored to your specification and specific requirements.

We can work from a set of drawings, soils information and specification to produce a full design and working drawings.  Upon completion we will provide all necessary documentation for the O&M manual, including as built drawings and records.

Sheet piles do not just act as a retaining structure.  They are also capable of carrying a vertical load, particularly when used as basement walls, and imposed moments such as impact loading from crash barriers.  These additional loadings can all be accommodated in the design.  If the piles transfer loads to other structures these loadings can be forwarded to your Consulting Engineer for consideration in those interfacing elements they are designing.

For temporary works we can design and bracing steelwork required.  Sometimes it is an economic solution to carry loads through to concrete thrust blocks.  The design of these blocks can also be provided if required.

One particular matter that we have in depth experience with is dealing with local authorities to determine their requirements and we can also offer to produce an AIP document (Approval In Principle) and obtain its acceptance.  This is usually required when a sheet piled wall is retaining a road or pavement.  We have had to act on behalf of a developer recently to seek an AIP after construction has been completed and to do this retrospectively can be a difficult process.
